Here comes “Discover New Music #21”, which showcases our music discoveries of Sep & Oct 2023. These tracks, artists and bands are the ones that captured most of our attention during the last months. We had a really good time listening to them over and over again!
Feel free to buy their music on Bandcamp if possible. That’s the best way to support artists and bands.
You can also follow their channels, say “Hi!” and share about them on your social media. Or maybe you could even think about sending over some of these tracks to your friends, colleagues and loved ones? Why not? It will probably bring some minutes of fresh joy to their daily music listening routines.
I started writing this album during lockdown, having learned I was going to become a father for the first time. The time allowed me to confront a lot of issues from my past, and I was determined not to pass those on to my son. ‘Instant Coffee’ is a song about that process of healing, and in my case learning that there are no quick fixes, it’s OK if it takes time.
The song is about the feeling of guilt from having someone waiting for you to get fully ready for a relationship. With big drums and basslines, the groove takes inspiration from a ship sailing through a storm, with the last chorus seeing it breaking out into the sunshine again.
Midge hails from a small town in the North East of England; Stockton-on-Tees. Having spent his early years of music production dabbling in various genres and producing under different aliases his recent sound leans more toward progressive house and techno, which has gained him support from the likes of Cristoph, Grum, Solar Stone, Omid16b, Sam Paganini and many more.
